Recipes for love
Valentine’s Day. Single people dread it. Florists are financially grateful for it. And those of us who are married with kids probably won’t give the day a second thought.
Marketing companies would like to convince us that the best way to show our love for another human being on Valentine’s Day is to buy them something – whether it’s a Hallmark card, a bunch of overly-priced red roses, or a box of chocolates.
If you’d like to whip up something in the kitchen that says ‘I love you’ …we have a few sweet low-sugar suggestions:
- White Chocolate Raspberry Sweetheart
- That Sugar’s Cranachan
- Fruit and Nut Choc SlabCacao Biscuits (you might like to buy a love heart biscuit cutter!)
- Rainbow layer cake
- Peanut Butter Chocs
- Choc Berry Summer Cake
- Raw Fig and Coconut Cake (from That Sugar Book)
- Nutty Date Balls (from That Sugar Book)
