Recipes
You know, sometimes simple can be best. While some fantastic ingredients are finding their way into smoothies at our local cafes (and they’re a lovely treat!), most of us don’t have bee pollen and acai powder lying around the house ready to use them on a whim. Let’s get back to basics. A simple banana smoothie made with your choice of milk, spiced with cardamom and a good hunk of ginger. They’re classic flavours for a good reason. They taste bloody good.
Ingredients
- 1 - banana
- 1 - date
- 3/4 cup - milk of your choice
- 1/4 tsp - ground cardamom
- 1 - knob of ginger
- Cacao nibs to garnish
Method
- Put all the ingredients in a blender and whiz for 30 seconds
- Pop in a glass and sprinkle with cacao nibs. Add a couple of chunks of ice if needed. That’s it!
